The property is made up of the Villa Ligeia and its guest
cottage set in nine acres of managed Mediterranean woodland.
The original terracing still exists so that the property cascades
down the mountainside in a series of more or less formal gardens
and areas with paths winding through them.

From the road the drive curves down to the private, tree
sheltered parking space which can take up to seven cars. A
flight of steps leads down from this to the main house, past the
swimming pool with its panoramic view of the Gulf of
Policastro.
The pool is set in its own series of terraces and gardens with
sunbeds, shaded chairs and tables and a barbecue.
This is a wonderful venue for long leisurely dinners or
fun, poolside lunches.

Another path snakes down from the parking place, through the
woods to the guest cottage with its own flower boardered,
sun-bathing garden. The cottage is circular and is surrounded
by a wide, tree-shaded terrace with table and chairs and hamock
chairs hanging from the trees. The house lookes directly out to sea
through a gap in the woods.

Beneath the main house there is a belvedere with hammocks slung
between the mature pine trees creating a cool, scented place for
siestas.
On the other side of the house, and beneath the swimming pool,
another path leads down to a small, rocky bay with steps down to
the shore.
